The School centre Nova Gorica joined the GRETA initiative

The School centre Nova Gorica, as the Centre of VET excellence, joined the GRETA initiative and attended yesterday the Kick-Off Meeting for GRETA – Greening Responses to Excellence through Thematic Actions, organised by ETF.

There were 17 Centres of Excellence (CoVEs) participating from 8 different countries: Armenia (1), Georgia (1), Latvia (1), Serbia (1), Slovenia (1), Spain (2), Turkey (3) and Ukraine (7).

The purpose of the Kick-off meeting was to:

  • Present GRETA team and update GRETA work packages.
  • Establish a peer learning community of participating CoVEs.
  • Prepare for peer learning reviews among CoVEs.

The areas of discussion were:

  1. What areas or aspects is the Centre of Vocational Excellence currently focussing on in terms of “going green”? (e.g., becoming more sustainable as an organisation, teacher training, greening the curriculum, or collaborating with outside stakeholders on going green)
  2. In which areas/aspects of ‘going green’ would the centre like to benefit from a peer review?
  3. What are the centre’s strengths in regard to greening VET that can positively contribute to the peer learning process of other participating CoVEs?

The school centre Nova Gorica, as the representative of the Talentjourney platform, presented how green skills were developed and integrated into Talentjourney courses.
