At the Higher Vocational College Nova Gorica we are piloting the AI module on the EQF 5 level. The test of the module will take place for 2 days.
Jan Medvešek, the co-founder of the start-up company Emotech, lectured in the introductory part. Jan was involved in the development of a robot known as Olly, for which they received 4 CES Innovation Awards. Since 2018, Emotech has focused mainly on research into multimodal AI systems and systems specialised in sound and speech. In doing so, they can support a wide range of industrial areas, and currently at the heart of their focus is education.
More than 50 students of the Higher Vocational College Nova Gorica, the Technical institute Jurij Vega from Gorizia (ITA), the Higher Vocational School from Velenje and students of the Technical High School from Nova Gorica are participating in the piloting. The pilot project is based on teamwork in which students work remotely on different challenges.
