Green skills are skills for sustainability, resource and energy efficiency and the emerging circular economic thinking, which are related to the technical skills, knowledge, values and attitudes needed in the workforce to develop and support sustainable, environmental and socio-economic outcomes both in industry and the community.

Green skills are required to operate and develop green technologies, particularly in industries as fast changing as manufacturing. Sustainable use of energy is crucial factor in the future and improving energy efficiency is one of the EU’s 2030 key targets.

Ability to evaluate circular economy and energy efficiency. Utilize ESG. Ability to recognize typical targets and processes that consumes energy and think potential solutions for energy savings.

Marko Kukka is an energy-oriented engineer who sees renewable energy and energy efficiency as main elements in every sector and thinks that everyone should be aware of their energy consumption. Specialized in energy efficiency, energy audits, HPAC-systems and energy use in buildings.

Jenni Nurmi is an expert in circular economy and built environment., specialized in the utilization of high volume industrial by-products and land masses. Jenni believes that systemic transition towards circular economy can be achieved by implementing circular economy thinking in everyday operations.
