Design thinking

The course has the intent to bring an user-centric mindset to leadership, and able them to respond to the challenges of the modern society and economy, behaviours of new generations, and at the same time became co-creators of our Platform for VET excellence – Talentjourney.
For constant development and sustainability of Talentjourney it is crucial to train the key actors to understand why changes are necessary, to be able to design and support new educational and training processes, to be able to deliver curricula with knowledge flows and according to new era economy and society demands.
  1. To get knowledge how to turn an organization from inside out to outside in. With a clear user-centred perspective on learner needs and opportunities.
  2. To exchange regional specific challenges around user-centric strategies and VET providing concepts.
  3. To transition the learnings to Talentjourney platform.

Detailed description of the course

  1. Why Design Thinking?
  2. History of Design Thinking.
  3. Main principles of Design Thinking.
  4. Main methods, tools and Design Thinking process.
  5. Workshop (collaboration- and action-oriented) on user challenges with empathy, creation, prototyping and validation phases.
  6. Collecting learnings and feedback.
  7. Wrap up and actioning DT in Talentjourney project.

Group work

Group members will assess each other on co-creation, iteration, prototyping and validation. Group members will challenge each other on relevancy for region and management and leadership application. Group members will assess outcomes on quality level of Talentjourney acceleration.
One of the main focuses of Talentjourney is to design and establish a user-oriented VET system. Since we talk about the transformation of the whole VET system, the leadership play here an essential role. VET learners are facing fast changing environments and technologies that influence the way they learn, as well as how VET providers iterate and improve their offer. The course has the intent to bring an user-centric mindset to leadership, and able them to respond to the challenges of the modern society and economy, behaviours of new generations, and at the same time became co-creators of our Platform for VET excellence=Talentjourney.
Partners and stakeholders of the Talentjourney project (e.g.: learners, tutors, companies, VET providers) to collaborate together, with the specific focus on building knowledge for leadership actors.
  1. Design Thinking methodologies and tools, such as empathy mapping, rapid prototyping, and co-creation.
